After winning the Super Lig the previous time around, Galatasaray is looking to improve their team even more. They want to bolster their roster with extra talent, and Rodrigo Bentancur of Tottenham is the player they have their eye on.

The Turkish team is reportedly hoping that Fernando Muslera could persuade fellow countryman Bentancur to transfer to the Turkish champions, according a report from Aspor.

The Uruguayan international has played a key role in the first team setup since arriving to Tottenham in the winter of 2022. However, along his time with the team, he has sustained numerous injuries. He has missed a large amount of games the past two seasons due to injuries. Spurs are willing to cash in on him because his contract expires in 2026, should they receive a compelling offer.

The 26-year-old is currently valued at €35 million. Galatasaray is keen to sign him, but they would want a loan arrangement that includes a repurchase clause. Spurs have already received communication from the Turkish club as they attempt to sign the former Juventus player.

This summer, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has also been linked to a move away from the team. Given their squad’s lack of depth, it will be intriguing to see if Tottenham is willing to lose two central midfielders in the same window.
