Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka discusses his activities during the Euro 2024 camp in England with Aston Villa player Ezri Konsa.

Bukayo Saka has come out and hailed an Aston Villa player for his incredible defending.

Several players from Aston Villa are competing in the European Championships in Germany this summer.

Two England internationals are competing for the Villans as well; one of them is making a big impression on Arsenal winger Saka.

Bukayo Saka impressed by Ezri Konsa

Saka has written a nice report on Villa’s dynamic defender Ezri Konsa, who is among the many talented players in the England side that some have dubbed a golden generation.

The 22-year-old stated, via Villareport, “I do a little one-on-one with Ezri (Konsa) because, in my opinion, he is one of the best in the Premier League at defending one-on-one.”

I like going up against him because it makes both of us better.

Konsa had an incredible season with The Villans the previous season, and his outstanding play won him his first cap for England in March. It was evident that this impressed Gareth Southgate enough for him to be included in the final Euros squad.

Ezri Konsa has a role to play at Euro 2024

Even though he hasn’t played in the competition yet, if The Three Lions need to maintain their lead, he might still be able to contribute off the bench.

If Saka, a player of his calibre, finds it difficult to defeat him one-on-one, maybe he can be used in one-off matches against wingers with high ceilings.

His type of player isn’t very prevalent in England at left-back, so it wouldn’t be shocking if he started later in the competition.

This evening, Southgate’s team plays Slovenia in the last group match, having already qualified for the knockout stages.
