‘Amazing club’… New signing explains why he quit Champions League team to sign with Everton

Everton have confirmed a summer signing as a deal has been completed to sign Aston Villa midfielder Tim Iroegbunam.

Due to their limited resources this summer, Sean Dyche’s Everton may need to become inventive if they hope to add significant players to their starting lineup.

According to HITC, Dominic Calvert-Lewin may be leaving Goodison Park since Newcastle United is reportedly interested in the Englishman.

Additionally, Jarrad Branthwaite might be headed to Manchester United, which would improve cash flow and free up funds for the Toffees to spend in the summer transfer window.

Everton confirm Iroegbunam signing

Everton has announced a signing, despite the Toffees’ probable financial difficulties—money must be made before the end of June in order to comply with PSR regulations.

Tim Iroegbunam, a midfielder for Aston Villa, completed his transfer to the Toffees over the weekend. According to HITC, the transfer cost is estimated to be around £10 million.

The English midfielder was eager to leave Villa Park since it is believed that Unai Emery told Iroegbunam he would not play much for the Midlands club the next season.

Given that Idrissa Gana Gueye and Abdulalaye Doucoure are nearing the end of their careers and Everton wants to upgrade their engine room, the 20-year-old midfielder is seen as having a lot of promise.

Iroegbunam explains reasoning behind move to Goodison Park

Speaking to the team’s official channels, the Englishman made it apparent that he was eager to begin his Everton career.

“I’m overjoyed. Iroegbunam remarked, “I’m just really happy to join and I can’t wait to get started. Everton is an amazing club, a big club.” It was a move I was unwilling to ignore. I wanted to seize the chance.

“Kevin [Thelwell] gave me more information about the club, including its background, plans for the future, and where they see me playing. I was ecstatic because major things are happening, particularly with the new stadium.

“When I’ve been to Goodison as an opposition player, I’ve seen how the Everton fans are. You can tell straight away what the atmosphere is like – they are always backing the team. I’m going to work hard for them.

“I just can’t wait to get started. I’m going to give everything and I can’t wait to show what I can bring to this club.”
