Supporters: Activate Your New Online Account Ready For 2024/25

The Supporter Services department of Watford FC is happy to announce an improved online user experience for supporters on all club web-based platforms. This includes ticketing, the Hornets Shop, and the official Watford app, which can be used to access a new rewards programme (more details on this coming soon).

Below, this post outlines the steps supporters must take in order to create a new online account. This would be an excellent opportunity to make sure you’ve downloaded the most recent version of the club’s official app as well.

As part of the new offering, the same account details will be used to access tickets.watfordfc.com, shop.watfordfc.com, and the official app. The change sees the introduction of a new Watford FC digital account that will serve as the management system for each of the listed online channels.

By launching this new online infrastructure, we are laying the groundwork for the eventual implementation of a brand-new, customised club-wide fan incentive programme, the first part of which will be made available to Hornets season ticket holders. The program’s pilot will soon be available to our Junior Hornets membership, which currently numbers over 5,000.

However, there are some immediate benefits for fans to make use of.

Greater Convenience

The new account will make for a smoother user experience and make purchasing tickets and club merchandise, in addition to managing your orders and account details, easier than ever before by using the same login details across the different platforms. Once logged in, users will be able to seamlessly navigate between both shop and ticketing sites.

Any changes to your personal details held within the account will also be reflected across the board, thus removing the need to update your personal details multiple times in instances such as a change of address.

More Control & Personalisation

The newly-updated preference centre provides supporters with greater visibility and control to tailor their online experience. Supporters will have instant access to edit their communication preferences at any time to ensure they never miss out on the messages and club content that is most important to them.

The account also allows supporters to confirm a preferred method of communication and manage their opt-in/out status for club emails.

Action Required

First things first: all supporters must now register their own unique online accounts before they can access their different Watford FC platforms. Anyone under the age of 15 can create a junior account.

To create an official Watford FC digital account, click HERE and complete the sign-up instructions, being care to enter accurate and current information. Choose’sign into existing account’ and proceed with the ‘lost password’ procedure if an error warning indicates that the email address is already in use. You may find a step-by-step tutorial HERE.

An email address supplied by a parent or legal guardian is necessary for all junior accounts, and it must be validated.

Junior accounts function similarly to adult accounts, with a few notable differences. An account must be created and a username assigned as part of the registration procedure. When logging into an adult account, the email address is replaced by the username.

The same parent or guardian email address may be used for many junior accounts, but each account’s username needs to be unique.

Once your account has been created, you must then link to your existing ticketing account. This step will ensure supporters can make any future ticket purchases and access any existing tickets held.

Once logged into the ticketing account for the first time using the newly-created login details, all supporters will be prompted to link their account by entering their Fan ID number: be sure to enter the correct Fan ID that is assigned to you.

Supporters without an existing Fan ID can create a new one by selecting the ‘create new’ option, however it is not advised to create a new Fan ID if you have an existing one or have used one in the past.

For any problems relating to linking accounts, please contact supporters@watfordfc.com, stating the Fan ID number being used.

Club Website & Streaming

Video and audio streaming will not be integrated with the club because of impending changes to the EFL’s agreement with Sky Sports and the implications for club streaming.

Watford FC will launch a new official website next week at watfordfc.com. The club streaming service, formerly known as Hive Live, will now be called iFollow. As a result, fans who have previously used Hive Live will need to create a new iFollow login, which will be different from the ones used for ticketing, the club shop, and the app. However, it is still possible and even recommended to use the same email address.
