Sources say that Aston Villa will accept Cameron Archer’s offer following the “£14 million” revelation.

Football Insider has been informed by insiders that Cameron Archer, a promising player for Aston Villa, may be the next to depart as Chelsea finalizes Omari Kellyman’s contract.

After Sheffield United was relegated from the Premier League, Archer came back to Villa Park. In the £18 million contract he signed to join the Blades last summer, the club had a buy-back clause. However, it is thought that Villa purchased him back for about £14 million, a £4 million discount.

Nevertheless, Villa is likely to let go of the 22-year-old before the transfer window closes at the end of August, and they are willing to consider bids for him this summer.

After the 2021–22 season, Archer has made 10 Premier League games for Villa; nevertheless, he was a Sheffield United regular the previous season. During his 29 appearances for the Blades, he recorded one assist and four goals.
Aston Villa hopes to generate money through player sales.

Villa first signed the Academy Award winner in order to help balance the books, and it seems like that may still be the case this summer.

On June 7, Football Insider reported that the club’s PSR plan had been turned down, meaning they would need to generate £60 million through player sales. It is thought that the club is getting near to the sustainability and profit threshold.

Kellyman’s £19 million, plus add-ons, move to Chelsea has already received Villa’s approval.

In current transfer window, Tim Iroegbunam has already joined Everton, and Villa has been in negotiations with Juventus over a trade for Douglas Luiz, a midfielder from Brazil.

The Villans are still trying to bolster their roster as they get ready to play in the Champions League. After Football Insider revealed that Ian Maatsen was having a medical on Sunday in Germany, the club is now completing the acquisition of the Chelsea player.
