Aston Villa is “very close to signing” Player open to a PL move, fee reasonable for Emery’s side

Gazzetta dello Sport revealed on June 13th that Tammy Abraham of AS Roma might join Aston Villa during the summer transfer window.

It was also said the striker had ‘practically agreed’ a deal with Aston Villa in 2023, but the deal collapsed after he suffered a serious injury.

Abraham spent a long spell on the sidelines and returned to the pitch in April. Over the past few weeks, the Italian media have stated his future is away from the Serie A side.

Il Romanista continues by talking about Aston Villa’s pursuit of the 26-year-old. Due to his loan stint at Villa Park during the 2018–19 season, the two parties are well acquainted.
The Englishman’s wish to go back home has “never been hidden.” Abraham might get his desire this summer because he’s a strong contender to depart from the Giallorossi.
Roma is reportedly valued between €25 and €30 million, which is within the budgets of Premier League teams. Aston Villa is reportedly “in pole position” to sign him.

Due to recent reports in the UK suggesting they have reached an agreement with Chelsea to acquire Jhon Durán, Unai Emery’s team is currently looking for a striker. Il Romanista hasn’t considered the fact that the Blues and the Colombian haven’t yet reached an agreement on terms.

They further mention that unidentified Serie A teams are keeping an eye on Abraham and that Aston Villa needs to be cautious of Leicester City’s competition.

Everton isn’t mentioned, but considering the Friedkin link, they seem like a very serious contender.
