The Dutch EURO 2024 star’s contract extension offer from Inter Milan has not changed.

Inter Milan have not changed their contract extension offer to wingback Denzel Dumfries.

This is stated in today’s print issue of Tuttosport, a newspaper published in Turin, via FCInter1908. The Nerazzurri will not spend more than €4 million net per season, according to the newspaper.

Inter wingback Dumfries has made his position plain in a number of interviews over the past several days.

Staying at Inter is what the 28-year-old wants.

According to Dumfries, the Nerazzurri are his “family” and his “home.” He has expressed his desire to reach a fresh arrangement on a contract.

The Dutchman has, however, also stated that he is putting contract negotiations on hold in order to concentrate on EURO 2024 with his national side.

And the fate of Dumfries will largely depend on how the contract extension negotiations turn out.

Without securing a new contract for Dumfries, Inter will not want to keep him at the team.

This would entail taking a chance on losing the former PSV player in the summer on a free transfer.

Therefore, Inter’s strategy would be extremely evident if Dumfries did not write an extension. They’ll try to replace him by taking advantage of the opportunity to profit from his sale this summer.

Inter Milan Not Raising Contract Offer To Denzel Dumfries

Inter and Dumfries have already held talks about extending their deal.

The issue, though, has been that none of the Nerazzurri’s bids have been able to satisfy the 28-year-old’s expectations.

Dumfries and his delegates have been sulking for a season’s worth of around €5 million net.

Inter, on the other hand, has never exceeded €4 million net per season.

And Tuttosport claims that hasn’t altered. Inter does not intend to increase their offer in an attempt to persuade Dumfries.

The similar offer will be made by the Nerazzurri.

They shall then bide their time to see if the Dutchman chooses to accept or reject their offer.
