LYON JOIN EVERTON AND BRIGHTON IN THE RACE TO SIGN NEWCASTLE’S YANKUBA MINTEH

Olympique Lyonnais has added Yankuba Minteh (19) to their shortlist in an attempt to bolster their offensive unit, but they will have to contend with Everton and Brighton for Newcastle’s prospect.

Minteh, who joined Newcastle from Danish team Odense just a season earlier, may go this summer without having worn the Magpies uniform for a single game. The right winger, who was on loan to Feyenoord this season, had a successful campaign in the Netherlands, scoring 11 goals and dishing out six assists in 37 games across all competitions. a performance that drew the attention of numerous suitors from over Europe.

Minteh’s future in Ligue 1 may lie there, even though Everton and Brighton are both keeping an eye on the Gambian international with hopes of moving this summer. As per a report published in L’Équipe, Olympique Lyonnais has initiated negotiations with the player and submitted an offer to Newcastle.
