Sources indicate Andreas Pereira’s position over the move to Newcastle United.

Andreas Pereira, a midfielder for Fulham, is a target for Newcastle United this summer.

In an interview with Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior writer Pete O’Rourke revealed that Pereira is one of Newcastle’s transfer window targets.

Fulham has a one-year option to extend the contract of the Brazil international until 2026.

Pereira, who came to the Cottagers from Manchester United in 2022, is rumored to be willing to leave the team in order to pursue the greatest accolades.

Eddie Howe would be particularly interested in the midfield player if midfield players left the team. On June 9, Football Insider said that Newcastle was open to receiving any approaches from Leicester City for Sean Longstaff.

To identify incoming players, Howe and the Magpies’ recruitment team are “working overtime.”

Newcastle wants to sign Andreas Pereira.

Although Pereira has made his way back into the national team and won awards while on loan in Brazil, the 28-year-old did not take home any significant hardware from Manchester United.

Given that the midfielder currently seems to be looking to leave Fulham, Howe and Newcastle may arrange a deal and persuade the player that St. James’ Park is the best location for him to pursue trophies.

Pereira contributed ten goals to Fulham’s Premier League total last season, making him a vital member of the team.

The five-cap Brazilian is now abroad at the Copa America after scoring his first goal for his nation earlier this month.

Pereira can get closer to the shop window if he has a successful tournament. Transfermarkt presently values Pereira at about £17 million (€20 million).

In other developments, PIF, the owners of Newcastle, might be considering creating a multi-club network.
