It was “amazing” news that Everton signed Daniel Jebbison while Sheffield United was talking about leaving the league.

Sheffield United striker Daniel Jebbison has reacted to the news on Saturday that Tim Iroegbunam has joined Everton.

Iroegbunam, 20, posted a picture of himself signing his Goodison Park contract on his own Instagram account to reveal that he had left Aston Villa to join the Toffees.

The 20-year-old Canadian striker Jebbison just reacted to the midfielder’s post with “Amazing,” despite rumors that he could join Everton this summer [HITC].

Everton has reportedly made an attempt to recruit Jebbison, whose Sheffield United contract is set to expire at the end of June, according to HITC’s report on May 31.

Will Everton sign Jebbison in cut-price summer transfer?

It’s unlikely that a trade involving Jebbison and Everton will make fans’ mouths drop.

The center forward, who was born in Ontario, has only made 35 appearances for the senior team of the Blades, and that one appearance came last season because of a blood clot problem.

The former Buton loanee played the final 20 minutes of Bramall Lane’s 3-0 loss to Tottenham on the last day of the season, which was his only game.

Even though he hasn’t had much of an impact in South Yorkshire, HITC reports that clubs abroad including Borussia Dortmund and Juventus, as well as Everton, Leeds, Ipswich, and Leicester, are interested in him.

The fact that Jebbison is being connected to these kinds of teams for what might be an extremely inexpensive transfer because to his Sheffield contract issue says a lot about him.

In order to recruit Jebbison, Everton may need to pay Sheffield United a compensation fee. Jebbison joined Sheffield United’s youth program in 2018 after moving from semi-pro Canadian team ANB Football.

However, since there won’t likely be much of a cost, the Blues could pull this off if Jebbison sees a direct path to Sean Dyche’s starting lineup.
