‘Unplayable’ winger who Newcastle want has just told Arsenal he’s leaving on June 30th

This summer, Newcastle United wants to strengthen their young ranks, and one of their targets from Arsenal has now made the decision to become a free agent.

The Magpies may have to shell out up to £60 million in order to get a winger this summer. That is the amount Michael Olise will cost. After contacting Crystal Palace, Newcastle has permission to chat with the 22-year-old about going to St. James’ Park.

A signing for the now and the future would be Olise. Even though he is only 22 years old, he already possesses a great deal of talent, and he may still improve greatly.

However, Newcastle is also open to acquiring players just for the long term, and they have their sights set on an Arsenal 19-year-old.

Newcastle target Cozier-Duberry to become free agent

Newcastle has been interested in Amario Cozier-Duberry in recent months; according to a May report, the Magpies want to sign the 19-year-old when his contract with Arsenal expires.

His contract with the Emirates Stadium expires on June 30th, and the Gunners had hoped he would stay in North London longer. When they revealed their retained list, they said that negotiations were still going on, but that a decision had now been made.

Unfortunately for Mikel Arteta, Cozier-Duberry has informed Arsenal that he will not be signing a new deal and that he will become a free agent, according to the Evening Standard.

According to them, clubs in France, Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands are interested in making bids to him.

The Evening Standard further reports that Cozier-Duberry’s next transfer will depend on how much football he plays with the first team.

First-team desire could hurt Newcastle bid

Given how unlikely it is that he would receive senior minutes in black and white the following season, that may work against Newcastle.

His ideal position would be on the right wing, where the Magpies hope to bring in a big name player. There will be little opportunities for Cozier-Duberry because whoever shows up will be a regular in attack with Anthony Gordon and Alexander Isak. He would also have to contend with Miguel Almiron, Yankuba Minteh, and Jacob Murphy.

Cozier-Duberry might be persuaded to relocate to St. James’ Park if he were given a detailed strategy on how he would fit into Newcastle’s team. He has been compared to Bukayo Saka, but his desire to play senior football as soon as possible may make it hard for the Magpies to recruit a “unplayable” winger.
