Everton claims that in order for The Friedkin Group to finish buying the team, they have granted them a period of exclusivity.
Since Moshiri controls more than 94% of the team, they will essentially have complete control if and when The Friedkin Group makes their payment.
It will be interesting to see what transpires, but regardless of who takes over for the upcoming season, the club’s finances will remain in a complete mess.

“Everton Football Club would like to give supporters and interested parties an update on recent funding for the club.”
Several well-known parties interested in investing in the Club have expressed a great deal of interest in doing business with Blue Heaven Holdings.
The Friedkin Group has been given a period of exclusivity to advance talks to purchase a majority stake in Everton, the Club can reveal today, June 21.
Now, all stakeholders will collaborate to bring this process to a close. The Club will be running normally throughout the interim.
The Club’s official communication channels will be used to disseminate any additional news.
