In preparation for the upcoming season, Women’s Super League star Alisha Lehmann is back on the treadmill.
Along with her boyfriend Douglas Luiz, the 25-year-old has been making the most of her summer vacation by sharing a ton of content on social media. The forward, who spends the off-season staying away from Switzerland as well, uploaded a video of herself on a treadmill.
Lehmann offers the women’s game more than just superior on-field performance. She has become a social media celebrity and an icon in the sport. There have been rumors that the women’s team might want to recruit Lehmann as well, in what would be a brilliant marketing maneuver, given that Luiz is reportedly coveted by Juventus.
Lehmann scored two goals in the 2023–24 WSL season for Aston Villa. The forward had a good campaign for Carla Ward’s team even though she was unable to repeat her previous season’s form, in which she scored five goals and provided two assists.
FUTURE PLANS FOR LEHMANN?
Lehmann appears to be in California based on her Instagram photos, indicating that she is still unwinding away from the field. She will re-join Switzerland in a few weeks to play Turkey and Azerbaijan in two more Euro 2025 qualifying matches. By the time those internationals arrive, her domestic future might also be decided.
