Evelyn Ijeh is one of the two new faces manager Peter Gerhardsson has picked in his squad list announced on Wednesday, the other being Häcken’s Felicia Schröder.

The Swedish-Nigerian forward’s outstanding play for AC Milan and the U23 national team has earned her her first senior call-up, according to Gerhardsson.

She made twelve appearances in the Serie A Women last season, scoring three goals.

Ijeh has already participated in competitive matches for Sweden’s U17 and U19 national teams, earning him a provisional cap tie.

If the 22-year-old Malmo native plays in the games against France on July 12 or England on July 16, she will get capped for her own Sweden.

Evelyn and her younger sister Josephine Ijeh trained with the Super Falcons in Vienna, Austria in the summer of 2021, before the Aisha Buhari invitational tournament.
