Declan Rice claims to have witnessed an Aston Villa player with a “unbelievable” left foot.

Arsenal star Declan Rice has made an interesting claim about one Aston Villa player.

Villa has an incredible team. They rightly qualified for the Champions League because they had an incredible 2023–2024 season.

Rice has played alongside some incredible players for club and country throughout the years, and he will participate in the most prestigious club competition in Europe next season.

Although it’s difficult to blow him away, it appears that one player from Aston Villa has done so recently.

Declan Rice shares what has really impressed him about Ollie Watkins

Ollie Watkins has been a star for Aston Villa.

The Englishman, who has often been linked with a move to big clubs, had a spectacular 2023/24 season and was arguably Unai Emery’s best player.

Watkins scored 27 goals and provided 13 assists in all competitions. 40 direct goal contributions is an outrageous return for any player.

The 28-year-old is naturally right-footed. Only four of his 27 goals came from his left foot last season, which is no surprise to those who have watched him.

But Watkins also seems to have a really good left foot.

That’s the opinion of Arsenal player Rice, who labelled Watkins’ weak foot a “joke” and said it was “unbelievable.”

In a video posted to England’s social media, Rice was asked to sum up his fellow international players in one word.

The impressed midfielder for Arsenal spoke about Watkins with much more than just words.

Rice remarked, “Lean foot! It’s shocking how weak his foot is! His poor foot is a joke, but he is so much more than that!

Chances of Ollie Watkins leaving Aston Villa to join Arsenal

Watkins is talented enough to play for numerous elite teams.

The Englishman has frequently been connected to transfers to English football’s traditional top six, particularly to Arsenal under Mikel Arteta.

Watkins was raised as an Arsenal supporter, and Theo Walcott even stated that the Gunners would have a look at signing him during the summer transfer season.

But if reporter Steve Kay is to be believed, Watkins from Aston Villa won’t be joining Arsenal this summer.

For Villa supporters, who will be depending on their star striker for the upcoming Champions League season, this should be welcome news.
