Atletico Madrid is aiming for Antoine Griezmann as Replacement of Alvaro Morata

This summer, Atletico Madrid plans to make major changes to their team, one of which might be a revolution in their attacking options. The only player who is certain to stay is Antoine Griezmann; Memphis Depay, Alvaro Morata, and Angel Correa may also be heading out the door.

Given his close ties to Juventus, Morata is the more probable of the two to depart.

If he does leave, Atleti already has a potential replacement in mind, and that would be Hoffenheim forward Maximilian Beier, 21, according to Tuttomercatoweb (via MD).

In the previous Bundesliga season, Beier, who is now playing for Germany at Euro 2024, scored sixteen goals.

He can play on either wing or as a striker, which would probably be in Diego Simeone’s 5-3-2 formation.

The issue for Atletico Madrid is that Beier would probably cost more than €30 million.

They might not have the funds to sign the young German forward because they are already preparing a high-profile deal for Robin Le Normand.
