Aston Villa in talks with Everton over deal for midfielder

Villa are in talks to sell midfielder Tim Iroegbunam to Everton.

The 20-year-old Albion youth product will be free to depart in exchange for Villa meeting Premier League profit and sustainability requirements.

In addition to being in talks to sell midfielder Douglas Luiz to Juventus and forward Jhon Duran to Chelsea, Villa is under pressure to raise money before the end of June.

Despite manager Unai Emery losing Boubacar Kamara to a long-term knee injury, Iroegbunam, who signed from the Baggies on a free transfer three years ago, made fifteen appearances last season but just once started in the Premier League.

Villa is set to bolster their midfield even more with the addition of Ross Barkley from Luton Town. Additionally, USA international Weston McKennie, along with attacker Samuel Iling-Junior, would join them from Juventus as part of the Luiz deal.

Chelsea has been given authorization to discuss a potential transfer with Duran, with Villa expecting to pay about £40 million for the Colombian international.

Conor Gallagher from Stamford Bridge is someone Emery is eager to bring in, but the deal will only go through if players can be offloaded beforehand.
