Tuesday: Town to Find Out Premier League Schedule

Town to Learn Premier League Fixtures on Tuesday

Tuesday at 9 a.m. is when Town will find out who their 2024–25 Premier League opponents are.

The Blues are back in the top division after a 22-year hiatus, and fans are excited about their next campaign. The entire schedule will be available on TWTD at 9am.

For the third time in their existence, Town will be joining the Premier League. The Blues hosted Aston Villa in their inaugural Premier League game in August 1992, following their Second competition championship in 1991–1992. Gavin Johnson scored the first goal for the Blues in the new competition, while Portman Road icon Dalian Atkinson equalized for the Midlanders. The game ended 1–1.

Tuesday saw a trip to Wimbledon, where Johnson scored once more as the Blues secured their first victory, 1-0.In a significant opening month in which John Lyall’s Blues had gone undefeated, Town played a 1-1 draw at Manchester United on Saturday. This came before a 2-2 home stalemate with Liverpool and a 1-1 live Sky match with Tottenham, both at Portman Road.

Town played its first game at Spurs in 2000–01 after winning promotion through the play-offs. Mark Venus gave George Burley’s team the lead before the North Londoners scored three goals.

On Tuesday, there was the historic 1-1 draw at Portman Road, where David Beckham’s fortunate free kick tied the score for the Red Devils after Fabian Wilnis’ historic goal put the Blues ahead.

A few days later, in August’s penultimate game, Town won their first league game of the season when Titus Bramble’s first senior goal led the Blues to a 1-0 victory over Sunderland, one of his future teams.

The Blues won’t play in the Carabao Cup until the second round, which takes place in late August, due to their elevation to the Premier League.
