Five teams are reportedly interested in Sunderland’s highly-regarded full-back Trai Hume, including Aston Villa. The Belfast Telegraph reports that Bournemouth and newly promoted Leicester City have joined Villa in the Premier League as clubs interested in the Northern Ireland international. Napoli and Championship Leeds United are also rumored to be keen on the player.

The right-back, who made 46 appearances for the Black Cats the previous season and topped the statistics tables for most tackles made in the Championship, was initially linked to Villa Park in March.

Naturally, Villa is concerned about their first-choice right-back, Matty Cash, who has long been the target of AC Milan’s interest.Furthermore, Hume has mentioned leaving the Stadium of Light in the past. “I think I could play in the Premier League,” Hume stated in an interview with the Belfast Telegraph.
