Southampton and Leicester City ‘interested’ in signing Leeds United loan star from Tottenham Hotspur

Joe Rodon, a defender for Tottenham Hotspur, is reportedly up against competition from Leeds United, Southampton, and Ipswich Town. The defender was a constant under Daniel Farke, and his appearance at Wembley marked his 50th appearance for the team in all competitions. Rodon has since returned to his parent club, Tottenham, but Leeds are reportedly eager to sign him again.

According to football.london, Leeds are interested in bringing Rodon back to West Yorkshire. However, the report claims each of the Premier League newcomers are also keen on the Wales international.

Last season, Leicester won the Championship, and the Foxes recruitment team apparently think highly of Rodon. It is reported that Kieran McKenna, who guided Ipswich to a second-place result, piqued his interest in the 26-year-old once again.

Leeds supporters would be especially hurt if Rodon moved to Southampton because the Saints beat the Whites at Wembley. Southampton has expressed interest in the Swansea City youth product, the report claims.

After the 2024–2025 season ended, Tottenham took action to give Rodon a one-year contract extension. It was a move that guaranteed any team interested in signing him long-term would have to pay a price.
