Everton may intensify transfer pursuit of Chelsea striker Armando Broja on one condition

According to Ben Jacobs, Everton may step up their chase of Chelsea striker Armando Broja in order to close a trade as soon as possible.

On June 15, a CBS Sports writer told Give Me Sport that if Dominic Calvert-Lewin is the huge deal the Toffees make to stay on the right side of PSR, it will be more crucial to bring in a new number nine.

Talks for the Albania international are reportedly underway, with the 22-year-old valued at somewhat more than £25 million, according to AS on June 12.

Jacobs stated, “If they do move, the expectation is that they will try to bring in a goalscorer, and they are in talks with Chelsea about Amando Broja.”

“The difficulty is that they obviously need a large outgoing first, and their ownership position may need to be clarified, if not completely resolved, before they can go.

“But Everton would like a forward, and then that may be even more urgent if Dominic Calvert-Lewin is the big sale they lose.”

Everton must not waste that kind of money for Armando Broja

The Toffees should not be spending that much money on the Albanian because he has not shown a consistent ability to score goals at a high level.

His goal scoring record is disappointing, as he has struggled to make an impact at Chelsea and on loan at Fulham.

Everton, a financially struggling team, cannot afford to make hazardous bets in unproven talents.

Spending a substantial price on Broja would not greatly strengthen Everton’s attacking options, and even if Calvert-Lewin remains, buying him is unnecessary.

It was also evident from his most recent loan stint at Fulham that he is probably not ready to be a top-tier striker in the Premier League.

The Toffees are too poor to throw money away on a player who might not make a difference in the team.

Alternatively, they ought to concentrate on boosting other aspects of the club or search the transfer market for more affordable choices.
