As Douglas Luiz closes on his Juventus move, an update on Alisha Lehmann’s transfer to Aston Villa Women is revealed.

Alisha Lehmann could be about to join her partner Douglas Luiz in departing Aston Villa for Juventus this summer, according to il Bianco Nero.

In a cash-plus-players deal, Brazilian midfielder Douglas Luiz is expected to leave Villa Park, joining Weston McKennie and Samuel Iling-Junior in leaving the Bianconeri (Fabrizio Romano, June 13).

As part of the negotiations for that transaction, Villa Women forward Lehmann is set to depart for Turin, according to Il Bianco Nero, which was updated on June 15.

The Villans are not have to sell this summer because the Switzerland international is under contract with them until 2026.

Alisha Lehmann set to depart Aston Villa Women

It is a well-known fact that Luiz and Lehmann are the Villa power couple and there is now a big chance they will both represent Juve next season.

Central midfielder Douglas Luiz will represent a huge blow to the men’s team after becoming one of their most integral players in recent seasons.

Similar to this, Carla Ward has benefited greatly from the 25-year-old forward Lehmann, who will be missed from the Women’s team for the upcoming campaign.

Since the manager’s departure suggests that everything will change this summer, the team will undoubtedly search for a replacement for Lehmann as soon as possible.

Losing Lehmann is regrettable, especially as part of a trade that appears to favour the men’s squad over the women’s.

Fans won’t necessarily be upset that she appears to be accompanying her spouse on a football career journey to Juventus.

The bright side of the situation is that, although she will be missed, there will be plenty of time to locate a replacement.

In other headlines regarding Aston Villa, an attempt was made to sign Ian Maatsen.
