Aston Villa told to pull the plug on Douglas Luiz deal after’shock’, says expert

According to Football Insider, the 26-year-old has reached an agreement in principle with Juventus after the clubs discussed a swap deal worth £20 million.

Aston Villa have been informed that a deal for Douglas Luiz to join Juventus in exchange for two players “doesn’t add up”.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Villa defender Alan Hutton expressed concern that a deal combining Samuel Iling-Junior and Weston McKennie would not be good value for the club.

However, the Midlands club has now been informed that Juventus is just trying to offload unwanted players on Villa in exchange for its star player.

Hutton argued that the transfer would not be fair to Luiz, given his standing as one of Unai Emery’s most essential players.
