Alasdair Gold wonders whether Ipswich Town could make a move for Joe Rodon this summer as the club’s manager Kieran McKenna is a great fan of the Tottenham defender.

Joe Rodon will undoubtedly leave Tottenham this summer While Rodon looks nailed on to leave Spurs this summer, having just a year left to run on his contract, it is anybody’s guess at the moment where the centre-back would wind up.

The Welshman might have preferred to secure a permanent move to Leeds on the back of his impressive loan spell at Elland Road but that proposed transfer is now in significant doubt after the club failed to win promotion to the top-flight.

Gold has now remarked that newly promoted Ipswich could make a bid for the 26-year-old, who McKenna is a fan of.

The journalist said on Gold & Guest Talk Tottenham Podcast: “Joe  Rodon will be heading off this summer, we will wait to see where he’s going. “I’m intrigued to see whether he ends up somewhere like Ipswich.

The Spurs player’s priority would be to get game time, which is why a transfer to one of the newly promoted sides might make sense for him.
