Aston Villa is expected to report £260 million in revenue for the 2023–24 campaign, according to insiders who spoke with Football Insider.
Last season, Unai Emery’s team finished in the top four, guaranteeing them a spot in the recently restructured Champions League.
The Premier League will boost their merit payments in recognition of their outstanding league performance, while Villa will receive a larger facility fee payout because more of their games were broadcast on television last season than the year before.
Prior to losing to Olympiacos, Villa also advanced to the Europa Conference League semifinal; their European experience is anticipated to generate an additional £20 million in revenue for the team.
Villa’s president of business operations, Chris Heck, disclosed that the team wants to raise its revenue to £400 million by 2027.

According to sources that spoke with Football Insider, Villa made about £260 million in revenue in their 2023–24 season, setting a new club record.
Following Emery’s first season in command, the Birmingham-based team’s revenue increased from £178 million to £217 million, according to their 2022–2023 financial statements.
Along with their enhanced on-field results, Villa has signed a number of sponsorship and commercial agreements this season, including as a long-term front-of-shirt contract with Betano and a kit manufacturer partnership with Adidas.
The £17 million Villa received from the Adidas agreement might not be noticeable until their 2024–25 accounts, given the German sportswear manufacturer is just beginning to work with them this summer.
Villa will also get prize money and marketing bonuses from the Champions League in their 2024–2025 accounts, putting them on pace to surpass their income record and reach their £400 million target.
