Rangers ready bid to seal Nathaniel Adjei transfer after Ibrox update

Nathaniel Adjei, a defender for Hammarby, is available for a move to Rangers for as much as £3.7 million, as reported by Expressen.

Bids are “expected shortly,” according to the Swedish tabloid, and the Gers are among many European teams interested in signing the Ghanaian this summer.

Rangers are initially willing to pay between £3.3 million and £3.7 million to capture the 21-year-old, but Hammarby are reportedly looking for a sum closer to £5 million.

Rangers are prepared to pay Nathaniel Adjei a significant transfer fee.

The Gers have started the summer transfer window quickly, with Philippe Clement making his first

addition, Jefte, before last season’s final match had even taken place [Daily Record].

Following their 25 May loss to Celtic in the Scottish Cup Final, Clement‘s team has already welcomed back loanee Oscar Cortes for a second season-long stint prior to a permanent transfer, and they have also added Clinton Nsiala on a free transfer [Daily Record].

Though much money hasn’t been spent at Ibrox yet, the several teams hoping to capture Adjei this summer indicate that this might be the summer when his move gets closer to the £5 million mark.

That is what Hammarby is asking for the 21-year-old, although it’s possible that the Gers won’t pay more than their own £3.7 million estimate for the Ghanaian.
