It’s official: the winger signed a four-year deal with Sunderland after talks with Newcastle United and Manchester United.

Omari Forson has left Manchester United for a new team after turning down a new deal at Old Trafford.

After Omari Forson’s deal with Manchester United expired, he was able to move for free to Serie A team Monza.

The 19-year-old made his debut with Man United’s first team in the 2023–24 season, playing seven times across all categories. The winger turned down a new deal with the Red Devils in favor of a four-year deal with the Italian team Monza.

This comes after it was said that Newcastle United talked to the kid about a possible free move. Championship teams Middlesbrough and Sunderland were also said to be interested in signing the youngster. In a statement released on Wednesday, Monza called Forson “one of the most promising prospects in Europe.”

The announcement read: “Omari Nathan Forson is officially an AC Monza player. The English winger has signed a deal with the Biancorossi until 30th June 2028.

“Born in London on 20th July 2004, at the age of 14 he moved to Manchester United, where he made his mark in the Youth Sector.

“In January 2021, he signed his first professional contract with the English club. His brilliant growth path took him to the First Team in the summer of 2023, where he made his official debut in the FA Cup match against Wigan on 8th January 2024.

“Born in London on 20th July 2004, at the age of 14 he moved to Manchester United, where he made his mark in the Youth Sector.

“In January 2021, he signed his first professional contract with the English club. His brilliant growth path took him to the First Team in the summer of 2023, where he made his official debut in the FA Cup match against Wigan on 8th January 2024.
