Although Everton avoided Premier League relegation, this is not a noteworthy accomplishment.
Many supporters are still unsure of when the ominous cloud will pass over Goodison Park because the same owners are still in charge.
However, before any of that might occur, Everton may have to accept the loss of their best players.
Some are rather clear and have a lot of documented history, like Jarrad Branthwaite, the center-back who plays the ball.
However, there are some that the supporters themselves would be more than happy to see go.
One of the best examples of that is Neal Maupay, a £15 million signing in 2022, who just finished the season on loan at Brentford.
With just six goals during his loan stint, the 27-year-old James Maddison is likely better recognised for finishing players than for his goal scoring.
As he told talkSPORT, Darren Bent believes that Maupay’s time on Merseyside is “over” and that he won’t be returning after the summer.
Maupay is back at Everton as of right now, but you have to wonder if Sean Dyche would truly want him in his long-term intentions.

Bent remarked, “It almost feels like it didn’t work for him at Everton.” It appears that he feels at ease at Brentford. He would undoubtedly want to remain there.
“However, his goal returns haven’t been that good. Although he briefly had success scoring goals last season, I believe his time on Merseyside is finished.
Neal Maupay in the Premier League
Maupay finishes everyone off, including Chelsea and Manchester United, and sure, he can probably take a few for himself.
On the goal scoring front, though, he has little to brag about. In his 160 Premier League games, he has scored 33 goals, although he only has one for the Toffees.
In contrast, he scored 37 goals in 85 Championship games.
Maupay looks to be in need of a step down, either by dropping a division or joining another supposedly lower league.
