After moving to Villa for £26 million from Sevilla in 2022, Carlos missed much of his debut season there. His stint with the team has been uneventful.

After making a full recovery, the defender appeared in 38 games in all competitions last season, starting 28 of them as Unai Emery’s team advanced to the Champions League.

However, the West Midlands powerhouse Villa Park will examine bids for the Brazilian’s talents, so he may depart this summer.
