Krystian Bielik chat and brilliant Birmingham City nod – What happened on Chris Davies’ first day

Footage of Chris Davies’s first day in the top role at Birmingham City has been posted.

Chris Davies had a busy first day as the Birmingham City hotshot, from seeing every employee at the stadium and training ground to holding his first interview.

After deciding to take over for Tony Mowbray on a four-year contract, the new manager reported for work on Monday. Technical director Craig Gardner welcomed Davies to the first team’s camp in Henley-in-Arden and gave him a comprehensive tour of the club’s facilities.

Apart from Gardner, Davies also spoke with Mike Rigg, the technical director of the academy, and chief executive Garry Cook, who divides his time between the training facility and St Andrew’s. The Blues’ hunt for Davies involved the former director of football of Manchester City, Rigg, whose responsibilities go beyond academy hiring.

Additionally, footage captured Davies conversing with Kristian Bielik. The two were not wearing microphones, so we can only speculate as to what they said, but they shook hands after their meeting.

a handshake.

After being demoted to League One, Bielik is likely to be in high demand, but Blues intend to hold onto him. Bielik might be able to handle spending a season in League One, considering that there won’t be an international competition the following season.

The Elite Performance and Innovation Centre is an amazing facility, as regular visitors will attest. Davies was obviously impressed by the cutting edge pitches, canteen, and gym, but his attention was drawn to something inside the changing room.

The words to the club’s iconic anthem, Keep Right On, are plastered on the wall in the dressing room. Davies took one look around before turning to Gardner and saying: “It’s a great song that, isn’t it?”

Once the tour was complete, Davies drove to St Andrew’s for the stadium experience. Cook was eager to show off the two enormous screens at either end of the pitch and explained some of the improvements which have been made during the close season.
