Bryan King feels that Conor Gallagher would make an excellent Douglas Luiz stand-in at Aston Villa.
The Brazilian and Chelsea midfielder, in the opinion of the former Villa scout, are comparable.
According to Fabrizio Romano on June 11, Luiz is expected to sign a player-plus-cash contract with Juventus, which also includes Samuel Iling Jr. and Weston McKennie.
Villa has identified Gallagher as a key target, and the player would cost approximately £50 million (The Mirror, June 9).
Additionally, King, who is only speaking to Villa News, does not believe that the midfield change will have an impact on Unai Emery’s team.
King stated, “Gallagher would be a good replacement for Luiz.”
“For any player joining Villa, participating in the UEFA Champions League would be a huge boost.
“Gallagher is definitely in that Douglas Luiz bracket, so I think he would fit right in.”

Villa fans are unlikely to be too upset if the team decides to sell Luiz and recruit Gallagher to take his place.
Though Gallagher’s talent is undeniable, he will require time.
Supporters shouldn’t expect the 24-year-old to immediately reach Luiz’s level of success.
It would help relieve some of the Englishman’s pressure to give Gallagher that time.
