DONE DEAL:Celtic signing has just worked out.

Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic signing has just worked out.

When Oh Hyeon-gyu arrived at Celtic Park from Suwon Samsung Bluewings in January 2023, there was a palpable enthusiasm.

The 23-year-old South Korean striker appeared to have the ability to light up the Scottish Premiership.

However, despite his early potential, Oh’s Celtic career has encountered a stumbling block, with 14 games and 5 goals.

As the summer transfer window approaches, it’s time to assess whether moving on is the best decision for both Oh and Celtic.

Genk, a Belgian club, is now reportedly interested in signing him.

With the entrance of Adam Idah in January 2024, Oh’s playing time was reduced to zero.

Brendan Rodgers plainly chose the Irishman and Kyogo Furuhashi when it came to selecting a striker, leaving Oh on the bench, if not even that.

This setback has hampered his development, so it’s unsurprising that he’s looking for better pastures.
