Stefan Borson: Aston Villa have ‘major concern’ with agreeing on ‘£50m’ Gallagher deal.

 

If Aston Villa sign Conor Gallagher for £50 million this summer, they will be required to pay £10 million in amortization payments.

That is the opinion of finance specialist Stefan Borson,

who exclusively informed Football Insider that Villa do not have much room to spend this summer without violating Profit and Sustainability Rules.

Birmingham are likely to profit from their Champions League qualification,

but they must also decrease their summer budget to avoid exceeding their permissible losses of £105 million.

Villa is said to be on the verge of violating Profit and Sustainability Rules

after showing losses of £119 million in their 2022-23 reports.
