MIND BLOWING:Former Liverpool striker Fernando Torres has taken a fresh new step in his coaching path.

Former Liverpool striker confirms his new coaching post.

 

The World Cup champion, who previously managed Atlético Madrid’s under-19 squad, has been named head coach of Atlético’s B team, the LaLiga club said on Tuesday.

The 40-year-old described his new post as a tremendous responsibility and expressed his readiness for the task ahead.

“I embrace this great challenge with ambition and the confidence that we are well prepared,” he stated

.Torres led the U19s to two league crowns and a Copa de Campeones, as well as a UEFA Youth League semifinal appearance.

Torres succeeds Luis García Tevenet, who guided Atlético B to two promotions and ninth place in Primera RFEF this season.

Tevenet will now join Diego Simeone’s first-team coaching staff.
