Accorsenal, for £50 million in order to satisfy Italian clubs.

Arsenal target at Aston Villa worth £50m this summer

He has been admired at Arsenal for a while and the Gunners reportedly came close to landing the Brazilian international on deadline day in the 2022 summer transfer window.

They offered up to £25million for Luiz but Villa – then managed by Steven Gerrard – were not interested in selling.

Since then, Unai Emery’s coaching has helped Luiz reach new heights in his game.

Although the 26-year-old was rumored to cost up to £100 million, Luiz might only get half of that amount given the Villans’ financial difficulties.

Arsenal has been told that Luiz will cost £50 million if they wish to rekindle their interest in the player this summer, according to the Mirror.

According to rumors elsewhere, AC Milan and Juventus are reportedly also eager, with the former “leading the race.”

Weston McKennie, an Old Lady midfielder, could be included in a trade. The American was awful on loan at Leeds for the second part of the 22–23 season.

In the meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano thinks that Luiz might be “a player to watch” because of the Villans’ financial circumstances.

Romano, writing for CaughtOffside, claims that Teun Koopmeiners, an Atalanta midfielder with ties to Liverpool, is currently Juventus’ “top target.” As a result, Romano claims that Juventus will only pursue Luiz if a “opportunity” arises, “perhaps with a swap deal.”

Another player to keep an eye on is Douglas Luiz, as Juventus is showing interest in the player and Aston Villa is under financial pressure to let go of one player in the coming weeks.

Once more, Koopmeiners is Juve’s primary aim, so Luiz would need to present a chance, maybe through a trade, as Premier League teams will also be moving.

Arsenal has long valued Luiz, and two years ago, they were on the verge of signing him, so it would be interesting to see if they decide to come back or not. However, they are not now actively working on this one.

However, Luiz appears to be a player to keep an eye on for Juventus, Arsenal, and perhaps other teams as well. For Villa, the Brazilian midfielder may be someone to keep an eye on in terms of potential outgoings to maintain Financial Fairness.
