‘I understand’ – Alan Myers has just shared $6.1b worth new contender update in Everton takeover bid

As the Everton takeover controversy continues, a new possible buyer has shown an interest in purchasing Farhad Moshiri’s majority stake.

According to Sky Sports journalist Alan Myers, Dan Friedkin has indicated interest in purchasing Everton.

He is the current owner of Serie A club Roma and is allegedly valued $6.1 billion. He is an experienced businessman who has built profitable firms in the automotive, hotel, and film industries.

Everton are looking for a new owner after Moshiri cancelled the agreement with 777 Partners because the Miami-based owners failed to achieve the conditions by the deadline.

There are currently five or six bids vying for Everton, giving Moshiri plenty of options.

Myers posted on X on June 8th, “And another contender appears!” I understand Dan Friedkin has expressed interest in purchasing Everton. Friedkin is the current owner and director of Serie A club Roma. He is reputedly valued $6.1 billion and has extensive commercial experience in the automotive, hotel, and entertainment industries.

Everton need to sort out ownership issues

Last season, the Toffees put up a valiant fight in the Premier League. They ended comfortably above the relegation zone despite losing ten points due to financial violations.

Sean Dyche wants the owners’ help to construct a good squad for the coming season. The Toffees may have to sell one of their two key players as well.

Andy Bell and George Downing are among the major candidates to take over Everton. They are the existing creditors and have been negotiating a solution with the help of British financial services organisation Zeus Capital and US private equity firm BDT & MSD Partners.

Michael Dell, who has “big money,” has showed interest, as has MSP Capital, which has loaned Everton money to develop the new stadium.

Moshiri can regain control, but Friedkin’s involvement should excite fans. He is an accomplished businessman who understands what is required to run a football club.
