Djed Spence to accept Genoa switch as Tottenham transfer update emerges

Bryan King reports Djed Spence will accept a move to Genoa following a Tottenham transfer update.

The ex-Spurs scout considers a transfer to Italy “sensible” for the defender.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the two teams are “advancing in talks” and hope to achieve an agreement by June 7th.

King, speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, believes the transfer benefits everyone involved.

“I think this is a good move for Spence too,” stated King.

“He isn’t going to play regularly at Tottenham, so this seems like a sensible move that he will gladly accept.”

“If the finances are right, then it appears to be a good move all around.”

Djed Spence to quit Tottenham and join Genoa in June

This seems like a logical decision.

Spence has no future in North London, and with Genoa eager to sign him, Spurs should strike a deal.

If the transfer is completed this month, Daniel Levy will receive an early cash boost. Ange Postecoglou’s side can benefit from reinvested funds this summer.

Spence has not been given much of a chance since joining Tottenham.

While it appears severe from the outside, there must be underlying difficulties that supporters are ignorant of.

A move to Italy would be ideal for the footballer, allowing him to restart his career.

And for Tottenham, it is another significant step in their rebuilding efforts under Postecoglou.

With Romano implying that all parties are eager to reach a deal in June, an announcement could come in the following weeks.
