Rumors about transfers: Max Lowe to Everton, Chris Mepham to Celtic, and Che Adams to Nottingham Forest

Transfer rumours: Che Adams to Nottingham Forest, Max Lowe to Everton, Chris Mepham to Celtic

It has been stated that Nottingham Forest is certain to defeat Wolverhampton Wanderers in their pursuit of Southampton forward Che Adams this summer.

Despite helping the Saints win a spot back in the Premier League for the 2024–25 season, Adams is expected to leave Southampton when his contract expires at the end of the month.

After making 46 appearances for Southampton previous season, the Scotland international finished with 17 goals and 6 assists, with Wolves reportedly leading the chase for him.

The Reds are optimistic that they can work out a deal for the forward, although Forest has now taken the lead.

In 191 games for Southampton, 27-year-old Adams has 48 goals and 20 assists.

He has played 124 games in England’s top division, accumulating 124 appearances, 25 goals, and 13 assists.

Max Lowe, a defender for Sheffield United who is expected to be available on a free transfer, is another player that Everton is planning to sign.

Lowe’s deal with the demoted Blades is set to expire at the end of June, and he is reportedly being courted by many teams.

According to reports, Everton is a fan of the Englishman, who made ten appearances in the Premier League in 2023–2024.

Despite having a difficult season due to injuries, Lowe was able to play in Sheffield United’s last two league games against Everton and Tottenham Hotspur.

Lowe is reportedly considered by Toffees head coach Sean Dyche to be the best player to bolster his defense options for the 2024–25 campaign.

In the meantime, it’s rumored that Celtic will try to sign Bournemouth defender Chris Mepham during the summer transfer window.

In 2023–24, the 26-year-old played in just 13 games for the Cherries, and he was sidelined by health issues at the rest of the season.

With a year remaining on his current contract, the Wales international is expected to depart Vitality Stadium in the forthcoming transfer window.

The defender, whose current team is thought to value him at around £8 million, is reportedly of interest to Celtic.

According to the source, Bournemouth declined to sell Mepham in the midst of the season, despite Sheffield United and Leeds United’s interest in signing him in January.

According to reports, Celtics head coach Brendan Rodgers is committed to expanding his defensive alternatives this summer.
