Report: Talks are finally progressing after Tottenham lower their asking price

Gazzetta Dello Sport reports that Tottenham lowered their asking price for Emerson Royal, which has aided AC Milan’s efforts to complete a deal for the right-back.

The chances of Emerson finalising his transfer to Milan have been discussed in a plethora of Italian updates that Spurs Web has brought to you over the last few weeks. The most recent update on the subject is provided by Gazzetta, who claims that a significant change has occurred in the story..

AC Milan are keen on deal for Emerson Royal

The Brazilian is reportedly eager to move from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to San Siro, with the main obstacle to the deal being an agreement on terms of exchange for money between the two teams.

But now that the Spurs have reportedly lowered their asking price from €30 million (£25.5 million) to €20 million (£17 million), there is a greater likelihood that a deal will be reached.

Talks are moving forward for Emerson Royal to AC Milan

The publication states that the Serie A club believe they have the approval from Emerson’s side and are now working to finalise a deal with the Premier League club.

It is revealed that there have now been new contact with the player’s representatives, with talks now moving forward.

Spurs Web Opinion

Emerson seems to be among the first well-known players to depart Spurs when the summer transfer market opens.

To be honest, though, given that the 25-year-old is probably going to be in high demand throughout Europe this summer, I am a little shocked that Tottenham is willing to lower their valuation at this point in the transfer market.

Although the Brazilian did a good job of turning over his dismal early form upon joining Tottenham, he is obviously not the right fit for Postecoglou’s inverted full back scheme, where Pedro Porro is obviously the preferred player.
