Pundit accuses Sam Gallagher that “his future is not at Blackburn” as Ipswich Town looms.

“His future is not at Blackburn” – Pundit makes Sam Gallagher claim as Ipswich Town lurk

In light of transfer interest, pundit Carlton Palmer talks on Sam Gallagher’s future at Blackburn.

Sam Gallagher, a forward for Blackburn Rovers, has been linked to a move away from Ewood Park. The Express reports that Ipswich Town, Luton Town, and Swansea City are all interested in signing him.

Although the 28-year-old is well-liked at Rovers and has played for the Lancashire team since signing from Southampton in 2019, he only scored three goals in 24 Championship appearances the previous season due to injury concerns.

This summer is Gallagher’s club’s final chance to profit from their player before his contract with John Eustace’s team expires in 2025.

Pundit asserts Gallagher as transfer interest approaches.

“Sam Gallagher is still rumored to be a target for Suffolk Town.

“Blackburn rejected multiple proposals from Kieran McKenna when he attempted to sign Sam during the January transfer window.

The issue now, though, is that Sam is about to enter the last year of his contract.

“Blackburn will not permit the 28-year-old to expire his contract and walk away free.

Thus, the clubs—many of whom are interested in signing him—will be able to do so.

Swansea and Luton Town, to mention two, are interested in signing him.

They are aware that they will receive a reduced price for him because, well, his contract expires in the summer.

“It’s rumored that McCarthy is still interested in Sam and thinks he may succeed in the Premier League.

“The issue now for Sam is that after a season marred by injuries, he will want to play football. Will he now consider Ipswich Town?

“Obviously, in order to get promoted back to the Premier League, they will make signings.

“Will he consider how his gaming time will be restricted in that location?

“So, where he’ll be playing regularly, like Swansea or Luton Town, would he rather go?

He’ll be playing frequently, and Luton Town will be aiming for automatic promotion once more in the upcoming campaign.

“It’s obvious that Blackburn is not where his future lies, and I don’t think he’ll be there after the summer transfer window ends.

“It’s unclear where he’ll wind up, but the opportunity to play in the Premier League will undoubtedly draw him in because every player wants to play both regular football and the Premier League.

Sam will view this as a routinely good deal from Arsenal in terms of both his salary and the transfer money.

“I think a fee in the region of about £8m would probably see him leave Blackburn Rovers this summer.”

Rovers may have a challenging summer ahead of them.

Gallagher is drawing interest from teams, notably Premier League team Ipswich, so it looks like the Ewood Park team may need to sell him this summer before his contract expires at the end of the next year.

But the forward isn’t the only player who might be lured away from Rovers this summer; a move to Scottish powerhouse Celtic has been linked to the team’s talisman, Sammie Szmodics.

Without the Ireland international’s 27 goals from the previous campaign, Eustace’s team would have undoubtedly been sent to League One.

Although the Lancashire group might have a difficult time adjusting to life without Gallagher and Szmodics, this possibility could materialize in the near future.
