Fabio Silva concedes Wolves’ career is ended and walks back of Rangers’ ambition to transfer.

The loanee said he had a good time at Ibrox but that he was looking for a new challenge elsewhere.

Fabio Silva told his agent to search him a move to La Liga, dashigning early hopes of a long-term Rangers stay.

The Wolves attacker understands that his time at Molyneux is up and that he needs to find a new team to call home. Although the 21-year-old Portuguese found his time in Glasgow instructive, he has since clarified that his mindset is to enjoy the sunshine and atmosphere of Spanish football instead of jumping to play full-time at Ibrox.

“Changing countries all the time is bad.I feel more whole because of Rangers,” he said to O Jogo. “I was a left winger when I played in a different position, and I felt terrific and scored goals. I used to only play as a nine, but now days I can play all attacking positions.

“I developed stronger emotional self-control. I wanted to check out what others were writing about me on social media when I was eighteen, so I left a game. I can now be critical of myself when I’m doing something poorly or well.”

“It’s no secret that I don’t want to stay at Wolverhampton,” Silva said when asked what he hoped would happen next. We both agree, therefore the next step is to try to figure out what will make us both happy.

“I already expressed my desire to play in Spain to my agent. Sincerely speaking, it is the place I would like to get to. I enjoy the country’s culture and La Liga football. I believe that my aesthetic is a great fit for the Spanish style.”
