Real Union Club presented their 2024/25 jerseys, including an Aston Villa-inspired away shirt.
Villa formed a deal with the Spanish third-division club late last year.Unai Emery owns a majority share in the third-tier club where his father and grandfather played. Igor, Unai’s brother, also serves as the club’s president.
Adidas, the same company that manufactures Villa’s shirts, has reached an arrangement with Chris Heck, president of commercial operations, and Nassef Sawiris. Sawiris holds a 6% stake in the company, making him its largest investor.
Union’s away shirt is claret with blue sleeves and gold adidas stripes that go from the collar to the top of the shoulder. It most closely resembles Villa’s 2009/10 home shirt.
Union’s home kit is black and white striped, similar to the team that won the 1918 Cup, to commemorate the club’s centenary year.
Union has announced that the Villa-inspired away shirt and home strip will be available for purchase shortly.
