Aston Villa is on transfer alert after a €10 million claim for Tammy Abraham surfaced.

According to an Italian rumor, Aston Villa may take advantage of Roma’s financial difficulties to entice Tammy Abraham back to the team.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Abraham may have to be sacrificed if the Serie A team isn’t able to generate €10 million by June 30 in order to comply with fiscal laws. The 26-year-old was having a fantastic Roma career prior to last season’s setback.

Abraham, a vital member of the Villa club that Dean Smith led from the Championship into the Premier League in 2019, missed a large portion of the most recent season due to a knee injury he sustained in the season’s last game in 2022–2023.

He still has two years remaining on the deal he signed when he moved from Chelsea to Roma in 2021, having returned in April. After going through the Stamford Bridge system, he was loaned to Villa for the 2018–19 season.

He scored 26 goals in 40 games, winning the admiration of Villa supporters for choosing to remain in the Championship rather than transfer to Premier League Wolves in the middle of the campaign.

Although he has been linked to a comeback for a while, Chelsea eventually cashed in and traded him to Roma the following year after he performed admirably for them. The England striker had an incredible first season, scoring 27 goals in 53 games. Despite a decline in goals scored in his second season, he is still highly valued by the team.

Abraham, though, might be headed back to the UK as a number of clubs are trying to make deals before the end of the month. Federico Chiesa is also rumored to be joining Roma. Villa is aware of Abraham’s connection to the Claret & Blues and has their own reasons for being interested in Jhon Duran.
