West Ham in contract talks with Sunderland target Divin Mubama

Divin Mubama is wanted by Sunderland, and West Ham is still hoping to sign a contract to retain him with the team this summer.

After negotiations for a new contract failed down, the 19-year-old striker—who is out of contract—looked certain to leave the London Stadium.

As several clubs keep an eye on the teenager’s circumstances, Sunderland would be prepared to act if, as was previously anticipated, Mubama were to leave West Ham this summer on a free transfer.

But the Premier League team, who named Julen Lopetegui their new manager recently, is still attempting to reach a deal with Mubama over an extension.

“Remaining in talks regarding a potential new contract” is what West Ham says of themselves.
