Tottenham want to sign ‘unbelievable’ striker who scored more goals than Erling Haaland in 2023/24

Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou has added one of the most prolific strikers in the world to his transfer shortlist.

Spurs had a respectable 2023–24 season overall. Even though they had a disastrous finish to the season—winning just two of their final seven games—there were still plenty of good things to take away from their fifth-place finish.

Now that Tottenham has to advance, they must make the correct summer transfer signings in order to achieve so. The priority is a new striker.

Viktor Gyokeres is now one of Tottenham’s five-man striker shortlist.

It’s highly likely that Tottenham will bring in a new striker this summer.

After the England captain departed Spurs to join Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023, the North Londoners made the decision not to sign Harry Kane as a replacement.

Heung-min In the 2023–24 campaign, Son and Richardson split the upfront duties for Tottenham; however, a true striker is required if Spurs are to advance.

GiveMeSport has now disclosed that Tottenham has a shortlist of five players as they want to add a striker to their roster this summer.

The list includes Sporting Lisbon player Viktor Gyokeres.

The “unbelievable” Swede, who moved from Coventry City, enjoyed an amazing debut season in Portugal. Throughout all competitions, he produced 15 assists and 43 goals.

Compared to Pep Guardiola’s team, who only had 38 goals and six assists from superstar Erling Haaland, that is a superior record.

According to Fabricio Romano, Gyokeres has a €100 million (£86 million) release clause in his contract. Gyokeres is expected to be a wanted man this summer.
