Rangers and Everton target confirms Brighton exit as Seagulls plot £30m Arsenal raid

Brighton midfielder Steven Alzate, 25, is set to leave Albion at the end of June, therefore Rangers may rekindle their interest in him this summer.

Alzate left Leyton Orient to join Albion in 2017, and he appeared in 72 games across all competitions, including 52 starts. He has played 47 games in all competitions while on loan at Standard Liege in Belgium over the past two seasons.

The Colombian international was previously linked to Rangers, and as part of Philippe Clement’s rebuild, the Glasgow club is now free to pursue a trade. According to reports, Alzate, who made his breakthrough at Brighton with the help of former coach Graham Potter, was also a target for Everton and Wolves in the past.

Emile Smith Rowe, an Arsenal midfielder who has only made three Premier League starts in the past two years, is reportedly being pursued by Brighton. Smith Rowe, 23, is eager to launch his career abroad, and the Gunners have reportedly said they won’t obstruct him. It is estimated that they will demand about £30 million for their domestic talent.

The three-cap England player is reportedly being monitored by Brentford, Wolves, and Fulham.
