The Falcons have a new defensive coordinator in Jimmy Lake, which raises some concerns about a fresh look defense next season.

 

FLOWERY BRANCH, GA— The Atlanta Falcons defense made positive improvements past season, but there is still room for improvement.

 

In 2022, the Falcons were ranked 23rd in points allowed and 27th in yards allowed in the NFL.

 

In 2023, these positions rose to 18th and 11th, respectively.

A top-10 ranking would be the next stage in those overall categories.
