Odsonne Edouard set to be offloaded by Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace are set for a massive transfer window and few players could be heading out of Selhurst Park this summer.

The Eagles are reportedly open to offers for top striker Odsonne Edouard, according to a London News Online article.

The media outlet speculates that Palace values the 26-year-old striker at about £20 million in a post published on their website on May 5.

After an incredible season last year, Jean Philippe-Mateta is set to continue as the team’s primary scorer in 2019. But the Eagles could have to let go of Edouard in order to make room for another striker.

Under Glasner, the former Celtic striker scored seven goals in the Premier League last year despite making only one start. Despite making 101 appearances and scoring 21 goals for Palace, he has obviously dropped in the rankings.

Crystal Palace should back Oliver Glasner

The Palace supporters now trust Glasner after a fantastic conclusion to the last campaign. The Eagles won’t lose any of their important players this summer, as the German manager has previously stated, but he needs to have the right support in the market to bolster the team.

As of right now, Palace is expected to sign Chadi Riad. After the January transfer window opens, the Real Betis centre defender will become the team’s first acquisition after completing his physical. Daichi Kamada is anticipated to sign a two-year contract as a free agent after that.

Nathan Ferguson was let go by Palace, but Nathaniel Clyne, who inked a new one-year contract deal, was kept on. Clyne, a graduate of the Palace programme, has played for the senior team in over 215 games.

Due to the expiration of their contracts, Jairo Riedewald and seasoned centre back James Tomkins are anticipated to depart the team.
