Newcastle United submit €41m offer for signing – Should do the trick for Magpies

Giorgi Mamardashvili and Newcastle United have been closely associated for a few weeks, with the Magpies making several bids to try to get the Valencia custodian.

Most recently, there has been a narrative in the Spanish media suggesting that Valencia owner Peter Lim is being excessive with his demand for more than €40 million for his stopper.

However, he may have just gotten what he wanted, with reports surfacing of a new offer from the Premier League team. According to Cope writer Perdo Morata, Newcastle United has made a €41 million bid. That appears to be them breaching the €40 million threshold in an attempt to appease Lim.

The offer was made through agent Marian Khadour and is now in the hands of Valencia. There is no indication whether it will be approved, but this must be enough for the Magpies to get their man. If not, it may be time to consider other solutions.
