Manchester City hand Ederson transfer ‘ultimatum’ amid Saudi Pro League speculation
There has been significant conjecture linking Manchester City shot-stopper Ederson with a move to Saudi Pro League club Al Ittihad; if he wants to pursue the move, he must submit an official transfer request.
The Daily Star reported this. Ederson is believed to be ‘considering’ a move to Al Ittihad. He believes he has won everything he can at City and is looking for a new challenge; as things stand, it is unclear whether he will make the move or not.
Juventus want Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz.
In the 2023/24 season, Douglas Luiz led Aston Villa’s midfield to fourth place in the Premier League, scoring nine goals and providing five assists.
Clearly, Serie A giants Juventus have taken notice, as reported by CalcioMercato, and are looking for replacements for Adrien Rabiot. The Frenchman could depart the Old Lady during the summer transfer window, so they want to be prepared for that possibility.
A swap agreement could be made as part of the transfer. If Douglas Luiz decides to join Juventus, Weston McKennie and Matias Soule may be offered the opposite. In October, Villa demanded ‘at least £70 million’ for Douglas Luiz.
